Elisabetta GARETTI (Italy)
Elisabetta Garetti graduated from the G. Nicolini Conservatory in Piacenza. Her teachers were Franco Gulli, Christian Ferras, Dora Schwarzberg and Leos Spierer. In 1987-1989 she performed with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento. In 1989 she became the concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the A. Toscanini Foundation in Parma, for more than ten years she was the director and soloist of chamber ensembles performing in Leipzig, Berlin, Moscow and St. Petersburg. As a concertmaster she collaborated with the Public Theater of Bologna, the "G. Verdi" Theater in Trieste, and the "La Fenice" Theater in Venice. Currently she is the concertmaster of the "Carlo Felice" Theater of Genova and the Toulouse National Capitol Orchestra.

As a soloist, Garetti performed at such prestigious international venues as the Lingotto Hall in Turin, Ircam in Paris, the National Institute of Scenic Arts and Music in Madrid, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the P.I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow. She has toured in Japan, China, Austria and the United States of America.

In 2002 she founded the Chamber Music Society "CAMERATA OPERA ENSEMBLE", with which she performed for several years as a soloist and conductor, collaborating with such outstanding performers as Vladimir Spivakov, Jörg Demus, Angelo Manzotti, Giuseppe Andaloro.

She teaches at the N. Paganini Conservatory (Genoa). She was a juror of the P. Sarasate International Competition (2005) and the P.I. Tchaikovsky International Competition (2007). She was honored with the "Minerva Award", established for women who work in the field of education, who serve as a model of professionalism and promote the values of the individual.
