Announced the names of the members of the jury of the IV Yankelevitch International Violin Competition. Commission will be headed by Professor of the Mozarteum — Pierre Amoyal (France).
Pierre Amoyal belongs to the most gifted violinists of his generation. He soon began doing music at the age of 12 years have graduated with honors from the Paris national Conservatory of music and dance. At 17 he moved to Los Angeles where for 5 years he continued to learn from Yasha Heifits.
The violinist has performed with the best orchestras of the planet, in all major capitals of Europe and in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and the far East. Collaborated with outstanding conductors – Herbert von Karajan, Seiji Ozawa, Pierre Buleza and many others.
Currently leads a course at the Lausanne Conservatory (Switzerland), as well as at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria).
Pierre Amoyal – artistic Director of Summer music Academy in Lausanne, founder and artistic Director of the ensemble "Camerata de Lausanne".
In 1985 Pierre Amoyal was awarded the Order of arts and letters, and in 1995 became a Knight of the French order "For merit". In 2002, he was awarded the prize Fund of the Canton of Vaud for special merits in development of culture, and in 2006 — prize of the city of Lausanne.
In the collection of Pierre Amouyal is one of the most famous violins in the world — "Kochanski", created by Stradivari in 1717.
