Acceptance of applications for participation in the V Yankelevitch International Violin Competition will end on January 31, 2020. The prestigious violin competition will be held in Omsk from May 22 to May 29, 2020.

The organizing committee of the competition has already received the first applications, but so far there are still more questions from candidates related to the order of performance of works, with program requirements, with age thresholds at the time of application and at the time of the competition. At the moment, applications have been received from candidates from Azerbaijan and Russia.

The organizing committee reminds candidates that there is very little time left to submit an application and send video materials to the qualifying round! A limited number of participants will be allowed to participate in the competition: in the younger age group (9-15 years) - not more than 20, in the older (15-25 years) - not more than 12. Candidates who will be selected will be announced on February 21, 2020.

The application must be filled out on the official website of the contest www.yankelevitch.com or sent to info@yankelevitch.com.

According to the program requirements of Regulation V Yankelevitch International Violin Competition to participate in the qualifying round, each candidate is sent a video of the performance of the work. The free program for applicants in the First (younger) age category necessarily includes the performance of virtuoso and cantilevered works, lasting no more than 15 minutes.

The main prize of the V Yankelevitch International Violin Competition - a violin of the Italian master Giulio Degani, made in 1901 and a cash prize of 2 380 000 rubles. This year a special prize will also be awarded - the bow of the French master Joseph Arthur Vigneron and a cash prize of 600,000 rubles. Special prize can be awarded in any age category!

Junior group competitors will compete for cash prizes from 18 thousand to 50 thousand rubles in two rounds of the competition. Violinists of the older age category will perform in three rounds, in the final - as soloists with the Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra.
