Preliminary selection results announced participants of the V Yankelevitch International Violin Competition

The qualifying round of the 5th Yankelevitch International Violin Competition. The competition commission, appointed by the honorary president Vladimir Spivakov, evaluated the materials of 55 candidates for participation in the competition from different parts of the world and determined the names of the contestants who will be allowed to participate in the face-to-face rounds.

Recall that only 32 contestants in two age categories will be able to compete for the main prize of the competition - an antique violin by the Italian master Giulio Degani, cash prizes and a special prize - the bow of the French master Joseph Arthur Vigneron.

In the younger age group of 9-15 years, the commission selected the following 20 violinists for participation:

9. Ramazan Kopbaev (Kazakhstan, Almaty, 13 years old)
10. Angelina Lobko (Russia, Primorsky Territory, 14 years old)
11. Serafima Nikitina (Russia, Podolsk, 15 years old)
12. Maria Ostromogilskaya (Russia, Moscow, 14 years old)
13. Eva Plakun (Russia, Sevastopol, 10 years old)
14. Andrey Pokhlebaev (Russia, Chelyabinsk, 15 years old)

20. Khanui Erdenebat (Mongolia, Ulaaanbaatar, 13 years old)

Little musicians will compete for cash prizes from 18 thousand to 50 thousand rubles in two rounds of the competition, as well as for the main and special prizes of the competition, which, according to the new regulation, can be awarded by the jury to a participant of any age category.

In the older age group of 15-25 years, the commission named 12 names of contestants selected from 34 applicants.

9. Sergey Mkrtichyan (Russia, Moscow, 16 years old)
10. Ekaterina Potina (Russia, Omsk, 23 years old)
11. Polina Senatulova (Russia, Ulyanovsk, 20 years old)
12. Victoria Tulskaya (Russia, Moscow, 24 years old)

Competitors of the senior group will be able to compete for cash prizes from 100,000 to 260,000 rubles and valuable prizes - an antique violin by the Italian master Giulio Degani and a bow by the French master Joseph Arthur Vigneron.
