The third day of the competition came to an end, and with it the final round of competitive auditions for participants of the first (younger) age category ended. Six participants who made it to the second round of the competition presented to the jury recordings of their performances of A. Alexandrov's obligatory piece "Aria" and parts of one of the concerts for violin and orchestra. The finalists preferred virtuoso concerts by E. Lalo, F. Mendelssohn, G. Venyavsky.
Recall that in the second round of the junior group, Patricia Avsic (13 years old, Slovenia), Angelina Lobko (14 years old, Russia), Eva Plakun (11 years old, Russia), Pilar Magali Polikano (14 years old, Argentina), Andrey Pohlebaev (15 years old, Russia) and Ivan Tereshchenko competed for the titles of laureates of the competition.15 years old, Russia). All the contestants showed high skill and impressed the competent jury headed by Mikhail Kopelman, People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Nevertheless, according to the results of the competition, three winners in the younger age category were determined:
