Recall that initially Yankelevitch International Violin Competition was supposed to take place in 2019, but due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation in the world, the dates of its holding were repeatedly postponed. Now the management again faced a difficult choice, due to the impossibility of full-time presence in Omsk of the jury members and some foreign contestants. Therefore, in agreement with the honorary president Vladimir Spivakov, it was decided to hold the competition in an online format, the V Yankelevitch International Violin Competition will be held on the previously announced dates from May 23 to May 30, 2022.
Recall that only 32 contestants in two age categories passed the qualifying tests. Competitive rounds will be held according to the videos provided by the participants. For the first (younger) age category in the first and second rounds, it is necessary to provide video recordings of the performance with the piano, for the older age group - recordings of the performance in three rounds, accompanied by the piano. All works are performed by the participants in accordance with the previously approved Program Requirements. All participants must submit records of all competitive rounds no later than May 20, 2022. All videos will be available on the official resources of the competition for public viewing.
No more than 6 participants of the first (junior) age category and no more than 4 participants of the senior age category will be allowed to participate in the final rounds. The winner of the Grand Prix of the competition will take part in the Gala Concert, performing on the same stage with the Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, the date of the Gala Concert will be announced later.
